I started to study Japanese on my own and took lessons in France for about 18 months. and passed the JLPT N5. I thought I had acquired the basic Japanese skills enough to conduct basic communication. However, I found it challenging to have conversations with the Japanese after I arrived in Japan.
One year passed and a friend recommended the sensei and I started the lessons with her. She brings a lot of speaking training such as shadowing and interesting conversation topics with relevant vocabulary to learn. Now, lots of my Japanese colleagues tell me that they are surprised that my speaking skills have improved a lot! I get tired after each lesson, but I will continue studying with her as I know that lessons with her always give me confidence.

Because I am sixty-five, my purpose in studying Japanese is purely personal. I wanted to concentrate on spoken Japanese.
I was very lucky to meet my Sensei who understood my wishes completely and complied with them. I am very interested in Japan, so the etymology of words, their use, their cultural origins are of great importance to me. The Sensei tailored her lessons to my preferences. Because of this, I feel free to ask her questions and she never tires to explain. …

I studied in Japanese at a University in Okayama in the past passed JLPT N2. In 2018, I was transferred to Tokyo office, which required me to communicate with Japanese. I had some fluency in Japanese but felt I was having trouble with complex business explanations, expressing how I felt, and building relationships in Japanese, as well as overall confidence when speaking.

I take lessons twice a week, before work. I studied Japanese about ten years ago and resumed online when I came to Tokyo last year.
The class atmosphere is friendly! We start the lesson with a small talk in Japanese. My teacher is very patient and encourages me to talk, even on a bit challenging
